How do I get to the residency space, and what are the transportation options?

You can reach our residency space by bike from the ring road in about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or book a ride through Pathao.

Will I have access to an individual studio or specialized equipment (e.g., wood, metal, ceramics)?

Currently, we have limited studio space. If needed, we can check with our partners for additional availability. Studio space is subject to availability.

Do I have access to a library or documentation center?

We don’t have a library on-site, but we can connect you with several libraries in the Kathmandu Valley and arrange for a volunteer to guide you. Please note that volunteers are compensated, and your contribution would be appreciated.

Do I have access to audio-visual equipment such as projectors, scanners, computers, and speakers?

We do have a set up for presentations that would be carried out using projector. Every other alternative form of presentation should be carried out by the artist herself/himself. The artists may use these equipment on an occasional basis to complement their work in the studio. Artists who wish to make intensive and continuous use must bring their own computer/laptop.

Do you source other technical resources in the city?

Can I prepare my meals?

Yes, you can use the shared kitchen to prepare your meals.

Could you pick me/us up from Kathmandu airport?

Yes, we can arrange that for an additional cost, based on booking and availability.

What costs does the residency fee not cover?

The fees do not cover airfares, health insurance, visa fees, local transport, or other project-related costs. However, we can provide a support letter for artists applying for grants and planning to join our residency program.

Do you charge an application fee for your residency?

No, there is no application fee.

How quickly will I receive confirmation of my selection for the residency?

If you wish to join the self-funded residency program, please submit your application form through e-mail. We will review it within two weeks.
